Marley Carson, Chair
Marley Carson has been an engaged employee of OMISTA Credit Union since 2007. Marley worked for several years as Dealer Finance Manager and has recently taken on a new role of Project Specialist. Marley prides herself on leading OMISTA’s yearly holiday giving initiatives. With Marley’s guidance, OMISTA is able to fundraise throughout the year and provide personalized Santa Sacks for up to 140 under privileged children from two Moncton area primary schools. Marley is excited to bring her passion for helping others and community involvement to the board of CECNB.
Paul King, Vice Chair
Paul is currently the General Manager of the Fredericton Direct Charge Coop Ltd. He oversees 110+ employees. The Fredericton Coop offers a diversification of many products/services which include: Grocery, Family Fashions, Home & Leisure, 2 Gas Bars as well as a Floral Department. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge to the retail sector with over 35 years of experience in various positions. Paul is well-versed in the administrative field as well with regard to benefits/pension program, WorkSafeNB, as well as all aspects within the financial environment of the Fredericton Coop. Paul sits on many boards and brings knowledge, experience and leadership.
Courtney Crossman, Secretary
Courtney has worked for Co-operators since 2015, and has held several roles within the Contact Centre. Currently, she is the Operations Manager for the Agency Contact Centre. During her time with Co-operators, Courtney has grown an interest and appreciation for the co-operative model and looks forward to supporting the co-ops and social enterprises of NB.
Laura Flewelling, Director
Laura has been employed with Bayview Credit Union since 2006 and has worked her way up through various roles with her most recent being in Administration. She has been an active member of the Young Leaders’ Group at Bayview and is often involved with the various community initiatives Bayview participates in. As a new member of the Board in 2020, she is looking forward to working with the rest of the CECNB team.
Murray Hatchard, Director
Murray first became an employee of a retail co-operative in 1987 and has worked in the co-op world ever since. Murray is currently the General Manager of the Atlantic Retail Co-operatives Federation. His work experience has instilled a strong belief in the co-operative business model and in the support of local products.
Duncan Matheson, Director
As a partner in Bissett-Matheson Communications, he specialized in communications, crisis management, and media training. Duncan also serves on the boards of Progressive Credit Union and the Fredericton Playhouse and is an active volunteer with Community Action Group on Homelessness. Learn more about Duncan on LinkedIn.
Steve Smallwood, Director

Dale Ritchie, Director

Robert Taylor, Director
Robert (Bob) is a co-founder of CECNB; He has served on the Steering Committee for many years and is an active and engaged Director. Although he retired a number of years ago from the federal government, he works harder than ever now as a volunteer and as an owner of Northern Trophies and Engraving.
